Running on Autopilot?
Having the opportunity to live out your dreams and desires, is a gift.
A precious one.
TIP: Make best use of your precious time.
One way to enhance this life, is to meditate (bet you're surprised to read that here!).
Corporate meditation helps you to:
Concentrate - to master the chatty, busy and unruly mind
Be aware - to notice how things are (as they are) within and around you
Have wisdom - and this comes through experience.
All 3 help you to fall awake to the life as it presents itself to you.
Running on autopilot? Here's something to consider, especially If you've been meditating regularly.
Is your practice ever automatic...where you're tuned-out, not really aware and experiencing a 'sinking' mind?
In other words, you're not really focused on what's happening, but not quite asleep either. It's like you're lingering in a mental void.
It happens to many of us while working too.
Here's what you can do.
Take some harder, deeper breaths.
Really exaggerate them, so you can hear (and feel) them entering and exiting your body. The easiest place for this is at your nostrils.
This will assist in getting your focus single pointed again. In the present.
It returns to what you actually want to focus on. Once it returns, allow your breathing to be in it's natural rhythm.
And from this formal practice, you're better prepared to face the deluge of information, busyness and ups and downs...during your day to day.
It's like having an exercise; to deal with the distractions ahead, so you can focus on what really matters.
And focusing on what really matters; is all that really matters.
What really matters to you?
