Showing up…is a big part of success.

Showing up is half way there.

With physical fitness, often the hardest part is starting or getting to the gym. Once there, you commence and walk out feeling better, accomplished.

Similarly, with meditation (attention & attitude training), getting your bum on the seat, and starting can be challenging.

Yet once you finish a sitting (a practice), you feel better, more composed, more considered - consistently.

1% better everyday, adds up. Consider this impact in the long run.

Intention.

Keep reminding yourself 'why' you're drawn to this practice. This helps you get your bum on the seat more often, especially as motivation waxes and wanes...and it will.

From resistance to letting go.

In practice, rather than trying to make things happen (like quietening the mind); it's about creating the conditions to allow them to happen.

During formal practice, this starts with settling the body. It's like a body-language, telling your mind to calm down and settle.

It's up to you.

Just like with exercise, no one can meditate for you.

Give it a proper trial...and experience the difference for yourself.
