A thought is just a thought.

Sometimes it can get a bit (or a lot) crazy inside the head.

There are so many tugs for our attention.

And this mental busyness, takes its toll after a while. In workplaces, it's in the form of brain fog, exhaustion and sleep-deprivation.

Why? Because the momentum of thinking, continues on and on.

If this is you, it's time to intercept and course correct.

Overthinking?

We think too much. It's a big issue. It's where most (if not all) of our problems exist.

When you are able to observe yourself thinking, to witness thinking objectively, something wonderful happens.

The mind settles down.

Not by forcing it (saying shut up mind, because that never works. Does it?

It's by accepting that there are thoughts coming and going. Maybe even with expectations of mental storms too...which will pass by.

It's your choice.

You can decided to get over all the thinking and to get out of your head.

How? By tuning into your senses. It's passive and rejuvenating.

Bringing your attention to the body or it breathing; are wonderful examples.

It trains you to be where your body and breath are. Present, here and now.

This also proves to be a nice brain break.

A well needed one. Each day. If you have the time - ha!
