Being well P.A.I.D…like a B.O.S.S

This week an invitation came to speak and facilitate a round table discussion at the Mainstream Conference

This industry looks after big assets and infrastructure...making them reliable.

An unfamiliar industry. 

It once again becomes obvious that every industry experiences similar mental health traits.

When the above slide was displayed, not one person put their hand up saying they don't experience at least one of either category. 

The session was designed to do something about it. Taking the smallest possible step to intercept...and course correct.

To make these skills more relatable, this slide was used:

Meditation is a meta-skill.

Not only does it help one be more stable, focused, relaxed and alert; it helps to balance the mind.

And no amount of money, possessions, promotions, or even servants, can serve you more; than your own balanced mind.

We all get tested out there.

And probably daily too. Someone says something you don't like...or cuts you off in traffic.

How you respond, is your choice. 

Think. Do. Be.

The thinking gets your bum on the seat. It’s usually inspiration or an idea that this practice will serve you well.

Next comes the doing… the endless chasm of reps, dealing with an unruly mind, distractions, peace, elation...the works. I guarantee it's not always sexy. But it works...1% at a time. It's a long game.

Then comes the being. This is where the magic happens. Where life feels enhanced. You're happier and more useful to others. You remain balanced. Flow states are a terrific example. 

Enough said.

It’s time to action.

And here, by action means being still.
