So busy. Seriously busy. Crazy busy.
Have you ever heard (or said) this answer to how are you? “I'm so busy.”
Of course you have...it's been common language for several years now.
For many, it's a badge of honour.
I'm not busy. My days are full.
When you're busy, it feels as if the external environment is pressuring you to get all these things done.
When your days are full, you take control of what you fill your day with.
It's a small shift in language. Yet over time, it makes a big difference.
Things look the same after 1 step.
After 1000 steps, everything is different.
Which direction are the steps you take?
I.e. If your chosen direction is to be more stable, clear, considered or cooperative; taking time in silence and stillness will be the steps that will get you there.
One day at a time.
Today is all you have. Make the best use of it.
Invest time for serenity and insight. It will make the remaining time better.
And it's not only for you; but all who come into contact with you too.
You'll work on your inner world, having more friendly co-operation with yourself. In turn this leads to friendly co-operation with others (even if you don't like them).
Start small, but start.
One step at a time.
