The ‘5-4-3-2-1’ Brain Break idea
Epistemology.
It's the study of knowledge acquisition. It involves an awareness of certain aspects of reality, and it seeks to discover what is known and how it is known.
It's the study of knowing, not through the intellectual, rational thought, it's through a direct experience...just like meditation.
The '5-4-3-2-1' Brain Break idea
Try this to give your brain a rest from all the overstimulation.
Come to your sense by tuning in to:
5 things you can See.
4 things you can Touch.
3 things you can Hear.
2 things you can Smell.
1 thing you can Taste.
How long did it take you? Was it useful?
A brain break allows the mind to go into neutral, letting it idle, letting it rest… let it be.
This establishes quiet zones, for better brain functioning, energy levels, sleep and so much more.
You control the architecture of your brain.
Consider what you practice (eg overthinking).
Why? Because Practice makes permanent.
One step at a time. Your progress is more important than perfection.
Ps. Make it playful and engaging.
